Ben Haines, Pinot Noir 2022

Ben Haines is one of Australia's real hidden gems. Calling the Yarra Valley of Victoria, Australia, home; he started out as a vineyard worker and has now risen to become head winemaker of his own label. He dedicates himself to finding the best cool-climate vineyards in the region, preserving the nuances of their character and articulating his impression through the aroma, flavour and texture of his amazing wines. For us, his Pinot Noir 2022 over-delivers in spades; it is gorgeously fresh and textured, yet approachable, with note of raspberry, cherry, bramble and baking spice. The palate is light-medium, reflective of the cool-climate of the Yarra Valley, with a really nice bright acidity and further red fruit notes. Burgundy in style, Aussie in spirit.
